Mr. Zafar Hasan , Federal Secretary for Communications and Postal Services
Zafar Hasan, presently Federal Secretary Communications and Postal Services Division, is a career civil servant from the Pakistan Administrative Service. He has served at various key assignments in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, erstwhile FATA as well as Consul General at Shanghai, China. As Federal Secretary Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Division, he played a pivotal role in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
He got his early schooling from Aitchison College, Lahore, thereafter, an MBA in banking and finance, MSc in Economics from London School of Economics and MPP in Public Finance from Duke University. He did his professional affiliation with the Brookings Institute. He has been part of several consultancies in Pakistan and abroad.
He has functional knowledge of Chinese mandarin language and a keen sportsman.
